Pharmaceutical firm Biologicals E. Ltd (BE) on Monday said it has reduced the price of its Covid-19 vaccine Corbevax from Rs 840 to Rs 250. This price includes GST. Due to this, end users will have to pay Rs 400 per dose including taxes and vaccination charges, the company said in a statement. Earlier the total cost for the end users of the vaccine at private immunization centers was Rs 990 per dose. In March this year, when the country began immunizing children aged 12 to 14 to protect against Covid-19, the Corbevax vaccine was used and the cost of the government immunization program was fixed at Rs 145.
