Drishti Sharma’s daughter Vineet Sharma, who won silver medal in Boxing Championship of Shri Ram Memorial Tournament held at Gadauli, was felicitated at Canwin Tower here. Along with the player, his coach Bhushan Saini was felicitated by Dr. DP Goyal, founder of Canwin and co-founder and Environment Protection Department BJP Haryana chief Naveen Goyal.
A large number of social workers including Bali Pandit, Karma Gill, Prince Mangala, Adlakha, Prince Mangala, Vijay Verma, Sonu Gaur, Yogesh were present on this occasion.
In his address, Dr. DP Goyal said that there is no dearth of talented players not only in our Gurugram but also in Haryana. The players of Gurugram and the state are bringing laurels to the country at the world level. He said that children and youth should take more interest in sports. There are immense possibilities of making a career in this field as well.
Naveen Goyal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Manohar Lal, the Haryana government has started historic schemes for sportspersons. Players have become rich from these schemes. Honoring budding boxer Drishti Sharma, Naveen Goyal said that she should take good training and give her best performance in the world. The way boxer Mary Kom brought laurels to the country, similarly Drashti Sharma brought laurels to Haryana in the world.
