Australia: Women dominate the new cabinet, record numbers have been included

A total of 10 women have joined the new cabinet of Australia.

The Labor Party has got 77 of the 151 seats in the lower house. This allowed the Labor Party to form a majority government without the help of the environmental-focused Independents and Greens.

However, the Labor Party will still need help in the Upper House for any legislation to be passed.
