India’s teenage grandmasters Arjun Arigasi and R. Pragyananand entered the quarter-finals of the Julius Baer Generation Cup online rapid chess tournament by finishing second and fourth respectively in the preliminary stage. World champion Magnus Carlsen finished first with 34 points in the preliminary stage, while second-place Arigassi had 25 points. Hans Niemann of America secured the third position with 24 points. B. Adhiban was the third Indian to participate in the competition. He finished 16th. He scored only 10 points.
