Antoine Dupont suffers from a “maxillo-zygomatic fracture” but remains in the French XV for the rest of the Rugby World Cup after his injury against Namibia

In a press release published Friday morning 22, the French Rugby Federation announced that “Antoine Dupont suffered a maxillo-zygomatic fracture” after his injury on Thursday during a clash with a Namibian player in Marseille during a Rugby World Cup group match.

“Specialized surgical advice was requested to precisely define the duration of unavailability,” specifies the press release. The captain “remains with the France group” however announces the XV of France.

The injury of the captain of the team, among the favorites of the competition, was the black point of the France-Namibia match, Thursday evening, won largely by the Blues (96-0).
