A woman ASI going to Narayangarh on election duty died in a road accident near village Garnala on Ambala-Narayangarh road. The 40-year-old female ASI has been identified as Suman Devi resident of village Patti Afgar (Kaithal). Police have initiated necessary action by registering a case on the statement of her husband Dharambir. Dharambir, who works as a scrap, told in Civil Hospital Ambala city that Suman’s posting is in the women’s police station Narayangarh. Today he had duty in the municipal election. Suman had left the village at 4 am this morning to go to her duty in a car. He himself had left for Shahzadpur in another car with one of his friends, Vimal. Around 6 o’clock in the morning near the village Garnala, ahead of the Mandore bus stop, at the same time a car driver from behind came driving his car at a very high speed and hit Suman’s car on the side. Sumandevi’s car lost its balance due to a side collision and her car collided with a tree on the side of the road. Suman was badly injured. He along with his friend reached near Suman’s car and lost his senses seeing her condition. With the help of passers-by, they brought the injured Suman to the Civil Hospital Ambala city for treatment, where the doctors declared him brought dead. He told the number of a car to the police and said that the driver of the concerned car caused the accident. On the basis of this statement, the police registered a case and started the search for the accused driving the car.
