Gang rape victim seeks help from PM Modi.

Muzaffarabad:

Pakistan A woman who was raped in occupied Kashmir (PoK) has sought help from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. Gang rape victim Maria Tahir has been fighting for justice for the last seven years. Meanwhile, now he has sought help from Narendra Modi for shelter and security. He said in an emotional video message that his life and that of his children were in danger.

.

In the video message, Maria Tahir said that “I am a gang rape victim fighting for justice for the last seven years. PoK police, governments and judiciary have failed to provide justice to me. Through this video, I am Indian Prime Minister. I am appealing to Minister Narendra Modi to allow us to come to India.

He said that my children are being threatened with death. The local police and a senior politician, Chaudhary Tariq Farooq, will kill me and my child anytime. I want to request PM Modi to provide us shelter and security. At the same time, in his earlier video, he had said that “Aaroon Rashid, Mamoon Rashid, Jameel Shafi, Waqas Ashraf, Sanam Haroon and three more were involved in the crime against me”. I am wandering from door to door to get strict punishment for the perpetrators of this heinous crime that took place in the year 2015.

According to Maria Tahir, he also contacted the police and local politicians. But failed to get justice. Wrote several letters to local authorities, including the Chief Justice of Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. But nothing could happen. Only she got an outrageous response that she was a married woman.
