The Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly has approved the proposal of Shiv Sena to appoint MLA Ajay Choudhary as the leader of Shiv Sena Legislature Party in the state assembly. A letter in this regard has been sent to the Shiv Sena office on behalf of the Deputy Speaker’s office.
The Deputy Speaker of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly has also recognized Sunil Prabhu as the Chief Whip. It is noteworthy that at present Narhari Jirwal is the Speaker in-charge of the House and he has recognized both these appointments. However, the rebel Eknath Shinde faction had staked its claim on these posts.
