Agneepath scheme will have to be withdrawn: Rahul

Terming the new ‘Agneepath’ scheme of short-term recruitment in the army as a new betrayal of the Modi government with the country and the army and a step to weaken the army, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be given all three agricultural laws. Like this plan will have to be withdrawn. He also thanked the Congress leaders and workers for showing solidarity with him during the five-day interrogation of the ED. Rahul Gandhi was addressing senior leaders, MPs and MLAs at the Congress headquarters.

The Congress leader said, “Every youth knows that true patriotism lies in strengthening the army… the government has betrayed the country and the army.” Senior Congress leaders, MPs and MLAs present at the headquarters praised Rahul Gandhi. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi and many other party leaders were present on the occasion. Everyone opposed the policies of the central government.

In the case of alleged money laundering related to the ‘National Herald’ newspaper, party general secretary Jairam Ramesh said, ‘In Udaipur, Congress President Sonia Gandhi had announced ‘Bharat Jodo’ Yatra. Congress will take out ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kanyakumari to Kashmir from October 2 against the divisive policies of RSS and BJP. He alleged, ‘What is the answer with the Modi government? When Congress is saying ‘Jodo India’, then the Prime Minister and Home Minister are engaged in ‘Todo Rahul Gandhi, ‘Todo Sonia Gandhi’, ‘Ashok Gehlot todo’ and ‘Congress todo’.
