Dince January 16, applications have been open for those wishing to benefit from the new fuel allowance introduced by the State. This financial aid, amounting to 100 euros, should support the most modest workers who depend on their car to get to their place of work, and who suffer violently from the rise in fuel prices. However, reports the Minister of Economy and Finance on Europe 1, Tuesday, January 24, only three million French people, out of the ten million eligible, have already made the request. 70% of potential suitors have therefore not yet taken the necessary steps.
“Seven million can still request it,” recalled Bruno Le Maire on Tuesday January 24. The first severance payments are expected to begin on January 27. “The system is extremely simple, encouraged the boss of Bercy, I had no negative feedback from those who went to register on the site of the General Directorate of Public Finance, but there are people who do not come not ask for this help. Applications open until February 28
Two conditions are necessary to qualify for this state aid. First, you have to use a vehicle (car or two-wheeler) for commuting. Then, you must receive a reference tax income per unit less than or equal to 14,700 euros annually. The State is thus targeting the 10 million most modest workers, while the pump discount system that preceded this compensation was not subject to any income condition. But it is still necessary that the people who are eligible for the new aid are informed and request it. Applications are open until February 28 on the tax site.
