Noida (UP) May 12 (Agency) Five people were killed and two others were seriously injured in a horrific road accident on the Yamuna Expressway in Jewar police station area of Gautam Buddha Nagar district on Thursday. police gave this information. Jewar station in-charge Anjani Kumar Singh said that the accident happened at around 5 am on Thursday. Seven people in the car were injured in this accident, who were taken to Kailash Hospital in Jewar, where doctors declared five people dead. The condition of two injured is critical. According to police, Chandrakant Burade (68), Swarna Burade (59), Malan Kumbhar (68), Ranjana Pawar (60) from Pune district of Maharashtra and Nuvanjan Mujawar (53) of Belgaum, Karnataka died in the accident. Narayan Kolekar (40) from Satara district of Maharashtra and Sunita Geste (35) of Belgaum in Karnataka were injured in the accident. Police have taken the bodies in possession and sent them for post-mortem. A spokesperson of the Gautam Budh Nagar police said, “There were seven people in the Mahindra Bolero (car). They were coming from Agra to Noida. His speeding car collided with a moving truck near Jewar toll plaza. The station in-charge said that due to this accident on Yamuna Expressway, traffic was disrupted for a long time. The police have removed the accident vehicles from the spot with the help of cranes. Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath condoled the incident and ordered the Gautam Budh Nagar district officials to ensure proper treatment of the injured. The Chief Minister’s Office tweeted, ‘Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident of death of five people in a collision between two vehicles on Yamuna Expressway, Greater Noida. He prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace and offered condolences to the families of the victims.
