Security forces have killed 4 terrorists in 2 separate encounters. In the campaign launched against the terrorists in the last 48 hours, 11 terrorists have been killed while encounters are still going on at 2 places. One of the terrorists killed today was involved in the killing of terrorist Sub-Inspector Farooq Mir. On Tuesday, security forces killed two terrorists in Sopore, North Kashmir. At the same time, security forces have got success in killing 2 terrorists in South Kashmir’s Pulwama. IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that two terrorists have been killed in the Pulwama encounter. One of them has been identified as Majid Nazir. Terrorist Majid was associated with Jaish-e-Mohammed and was involved in the murder of Sub Inspector Farooq Mir.
Confirming this, IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that two Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists have been killed in Sopore while two Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists were killed by security forces in Pulwama. Majid Nazir is also one of the two terrorists killed in Pulwama, the same person who killed Police Sub Inspector Farooq Mir in Pampore. After the encounter, the search operation was carried out in Sopore and Pulwama due to the apprehension of the presence of terrorists, but when it was confirmed that no other terrorists were present in the area, the operation was called off. A huge cache of weapons were also recovered from the encounter site.
