Two Sikhs have been shot dead in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Both have been identified as Ranjit Singh and Kuldeep Singh, who used to run a grocery shop on Bartal Chowkbada Road. Since the incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area, especially among the minority Sikh community.

In Amritsar, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami strongly condemned the incident and wrote on his Twitter account that the governments of both India and Pakistan should ensure the safety of life and property of the minority community living there. He said such incidents have happened in the past and governments should take it up on priority basis.
