186 wrestlers across the country suspended for 6 months, 45 from Haryana

Sonipat, 23 November (HP)

The Wrestling Federation of India has tightened its noose on wrestlers who are absent without any prior notice in state-level wrestling competitions. As many as 186 wrestlers from across the country were absent from the Grand Prix Senior Wrestling Tournament held in Haridwar, Uttarakhand from November 12 to 15. These wrestlers did not give any information to the union despite repeated requests. After this, the association has suspended all these wrestlers for competitions for the next 6 months. Of these, 45 wrestlers are from Haryana.

Indian Wrestling Association’s assistant secretary Vinod Tomar told that these wrestlers gave any information about their playing to the association till the due date. On this, the Sangh suspended all the 186 wrestlers who remained absent without giving notice for the next 6 months. Not only this, these wrestlers will not be able to participate in the national and ranking series.

Khelo India wrestling competition in Bahadurgarh

For the first time in Bahadurgarh, 900 wrestlers will gather in national and state level wrestling events. This competition will be organized on December 3 and 4. The Grand Prix of the third phase of Khelo India and the 67th State Championship will be held at the Modern Senior Secondary School, Bahadurgarh. Haryana Wrestling Federation General Secretary Dr. Rakesh told that on the inauguration of the competition, President of Wrestling Association of India and Member of Parliament Braj Bhushan Sharan Singh and State President of BJP Omprakash Dhankhar will be mainly present.
